About Me
I was born in Iran into a Baha'i family, where I discovered my musical talent at a very young age, even before I could properly talk. Despite my passion, I faced significant challenges due to my beliefs, including being denied access to university or art school. However, I remained determined. By teaching myself music and persevering against the odds, I shaped my own path.
At the age of 15, I made the difficult decision to leave my hometown and family, moving to the capital to continue my high school education, take private music lessons, and work part-time at an audio studio. This period marked a turning point, sharpening my skills and igniting my drive. By the age of 17, I formed my band Zema, which continues to tirelessly push creative boundaries and craft powerful albums.
In my early 20s, I entered the film industry, immersing myself in the world of composition and sound design. As my career progressed, the increasing pressures from the Islamic Republic forced me to seek new opportunities. In my late 20s, I moved to the United States to freely pursue my dreams and grow as an artist.
Since relocating, I have had the privilege to collaborate with top-tier television networks and independent filmmakers, though, for security reasons, I cannot disclose their names here. My work combines orchestral and electronic styles, weaving emotional depth and sonic innovation. That said, I reject limitations—music, for me, is about creating freely, blending genres, and telling stories that resonate deeply.
Today, whether I’m composing film scores, producing for Zema, or crafting soundscapes for visual media, I channel my personal journey into every note and rhythm. My art is a reflection of perseverance, freedom, and an unyielding passion for music.
"Music has always been my voice when words failed me, and my path when doors were closed. It's my way of transforming struggles into beauty and connecting with the world."
